NON-COMMvention Is Coming

• The annual NON-COMMvention, produced and hosted by WXPN/Philadelphia, is scheduled for May 14-17 in Philadelphia. This music-centric gathering brings together non-comm radio programmers and managers, music industry representatives, and music media from across the U.S. for four days of educational sessions and a ton of live music.

Daytime sessions will explore best practices, opportunities and challenges for stations with a focus on artist and community impact and sustainability, and XPN Free At Noonand evening music showcases will feature more than 30 of today’s leading artists and bands, who come from around the world to perform for NON-COMM attendees. Some of the artists scheduled to perform this year include Morrissey, Bruce Hornsby, K.T. TunstallThe National, Josh Ritter, Citizen CopeAmanda Palmer and many, many more. A limited number of tickets to attend XPN Free At Noon and evening music showcases will be made available for purchase to WXPN members.

NON-COMM is hosted and produced at World Cafe Live, the restaurant-concert venue that shares a building with WXPN at 3025 Walnut Street in Philadelphia. Evening music showcases take place both upstairs and downstairs at World Cafe Live. NON-COMM has showcased a plethora of emerging talent over the past 19 years, giving many artists their first major exposure.
