College World Series Stays In The Zone

• NRG Media’s KOZN-AM (1620 The Zone)/Omaha will remain the flagship home for NCAA Men’s College World Series through 2026 with a five-year contract extension with Westwood One that begins this year.

NRG Media has been the radio home of the Men’s College World Series in Omaha since 1997, and this new agreement covers the next five Men’s College World Series in Omaha and gives NRG Media and 1620 The Zone exclusive local rights to produce the broadcast of the preliminary games and broadcast play-by-play for all games. The deal also allows 1620 The Zone and NRG Media to carry Westwood One’s coverage of both the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournaments, including the Men’s and Women’s Final Four each year through 2026.
