Condolences: Buddy Scott
• UPDATED: Yesterday we received the sad news of the passing of legendary programmer/consultant Buddy Scott, probably best known as the founding PD of B96/Chicago.
Last night that news was confirmed in this message posted to Buddy’s Facebook page: “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share Buddy Scott, a.k.a. Buddy Kincer passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by his wife Yvette, and his three children, Shalah, Buddy and Jack. As you can imagine, we are devastated. Buddy was and always will be an amazing husband, dad, grandfather, sibling and friend to all who had the honor to know him. During his many successful years in radio he made hundreds of friends and helped so many achieve success. Please say a prayer for Buddy that he find peace and that his light continue to shine. Until we meet again, Buddy Boy.”
• Buddy Scott‘s family has released details of his upcoming memorial services — arrangements are being handled by Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 15219 South Joliet Road, Plainfield, IL.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 18 from 1-6pm, and Funeral Services will be held at Overman-Jones on Monday, Feb. 19 at 10am.
