Condolences: Tommy ‘Jammer’ Muzzillo

UPDATED: In what is shaping up to be an absolutely heartbreaking start to 2021, we also learned the terrible news that hugely popular Beaumont, TX-based radio and records pro Tommy “Jammer” Muzzillo had passed away due to the complications of a brutal battle with COVID-19.

We last checked in with Jammer just over two years ago when he had realized the goal of being elevated back to PD of the station he had originally helped launch nearly 30 years ago — Cumulus Top 40 KQXY (Q94)/Beaumont, TX.

After his original stint at Q94, Muzzillo had moved to the label side, doing regional promotion for Island Def Jam in Atlanta and Houston, and spent six years with Columbia Records in Dallas before he moved back to his hometown of Beaumont in 2010 and went back to work at Q94 as APD/MD/afternoon talent.

Jammer leaves behind four beautiful children: daughters Madison, Macy & Maggie and son Luke. A GoFundMe account has been established to help support his children.

We invite you to take a few moments and visit Jammer’s Facebook page, which is absolutely jammed with poignant photos and emotional remembrances from the many people who loved him.
