Connoisseur Cuts: Amy Reed
• Longtime Columbia, SC radio programmer and personality Amy Reed is departing Connoisseur Media’s Columbia cluster as part of reductions in force underway at the company.
Reed has served as PD of Classic Rock WMFX (Fox 102.3) and MD for Alternative ALT 99.7 (WARQ-HD2) since June 2020. Reed previously worked in the building as APD/midday talent at Top 40 clustermate WARQ (Q93.5) until Oct. 2018, when she was hired away as co-host of Wake Up With The Wolf at Entercom Country WPAW (93.1 The Wolf)/Greensboro, NC. Reed started her career in 2012 doing mornings/middays on WBEC (Live 95.9)/Pittsfield, MA, followed by four years in mornings on WAFL (Eagle 97.7)/Dover, DE before landing at WARQ in 2017.
Most recently heard in afternoon drive on Fox 102.3, Reed helped the station achieve a Top 5 market performance following the Columbia launch of Dave & Chuck the Freak. Her programming leadership also helped Fox earn a 2025 South Carolina Broadcasters Association STAR Award for community coverage.
