Corinne Baldassano: Free Agent
• Concurrent with Crossover Media Group taking an equity interest in Take On The Day, LLC / The Dr. Laura Program, Corinne Baldassano has exited her role as SVP of Programming & Marketing after nearly two decades of service.
Over the course of her impressive career, Baldassano has worked across multiple music formats, including MOR, AOR, Top 40, Country, and even Hip Hop and Classical before moving into the Talk side of the business. Her notable early stops include a stint as Music Director at WPLJ/New York during its historic rise as the most-listened-to FM station in the country, and she was also the first female Program Director in the ABC-owned Radio group at KAUM-FM/Houston.
Baldassano also served as VP of Programming at the ABC Radio Networks (as Executive Producer of American Top 40 and American Country Countdown), GM of the Radio Division at The Associated Press, and a Senior VP at Sony. She was also a member of the Board Of Directors of the Country Radio Broadcasters for ten years.
“One of my proudest accomplishments has been to serve as a co-Founder and Board member of Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, now a 501(c)3 organization that provides mentorships to women on the path to being the next generation of leaders in radio,” Baldassano said. She added, “I’ve had a great run… but I’m not done yet.
