David Corey Leaving Beasley

• In a surprising turn of events, RAMP has learned that David Corey will be leaving Beasley Media Group sometime in June, stepping down from his dual role as PD of WKLB (Country 102.5)/Boston and National Country Brand Manager, as both parties could not come to terms on a new contract.

Corey joined Beasley in June 2017, returning to Boston after more than a decade in Toronto, where he rose to VP of Radio Programming at Bell Media, overseeing all aspects of programming for the company’s 105 radio stations and managing the day-to-day programming of Canada’s No. 1 station, CHUM-FM.

Corey spent the first 22 years of his radio career at WXKS (Kiss 108)/Boston, rising from intern to APD/MD before departing in June 2006. Later that year he arrived at CHUM-FM/Toronto as Program Coordinator, and was upped to PD in August 2007. Corey is now actively pursuing his next programming opportunity and can be reached through his agent, Heather Cohen at The Weiss Agency.
