David Corey Returning To Bell Media
• RAMP has confirmed that David Corey is returning to Bell Media in Canada as Radio Programming Management Consultant, starting Sept. 1. In this new capacity, Corey will be working with all Bell Media radio brands across Canada.
Corey notably served as VP of Programming for Bell Media’s 105 radio stations in Canada and PD of 104.5 CHUM-FM/Toronto from 2006-2017. He most recently served as Director FM Programming for Cumulus Detroit, overseeing Hot AC 96.3 WDVD and Country WDRQ until June of this year, when Cumulus sold WDRQ to Family Life Broadcasting System. Before that he spent three years with Beasley Media Group Boston as PD of Country WKLB and as corporate Country Brand Manager.
Corey began his radio career at the age of 17 at WXKS (Kiss 108)/Boston (which explains his early nickname, “Kid David“), working his way up the ranks to serve as APD/MD from 1995 until 2006.
“I am extremely excited to re-join such a great team of people at Bell Media. This is a dream come true for me,” said Corey, who will continue to be based in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan and can be contacted at kdmusic65@gmail.com.
