Davis Marks Quarter-Century @ WKEE

• Today marks a major career milestone for Jim Davis — he celebrates his 25th anniversary at iHeartMedia Top 40 WKEE (KEE 100)/Huntington, WV! Davis, currently OM/PD and afternoon personality, joined WKEE on August 16, 1993 as midday personality and Asst. MD. He was upped to the PD post in 1996, following in the illustrious programming footsteps of his predecessors, Dan Persigehl, John McFadden and Pat Paxton.

Prior to joining WKEE, Davis honed his broadcasting skills at Top 40 WEYQ/Marietta, OH from 1988-1993. Like many in our industry, Davis caught the radio bug in college and worked at KOCC-FM/Oklahoma City, OK from 1986-88 while attending Oklahoma Christian College. During his summer and holiday breaks he returned home to do airshifts at Country WXKX/Parkersburg, WV.

Davis remains very involved in the community and somehow still finds time to perform his corporate duties as Area SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia West Virginia. Closer to home, Davis is the Operations Manager for the Huntington market and Program Director of WKEE, Country WTCR and WIRO (Fox Sports 1230 & 1420).

Looking back on his quarter-century of continuous service to WKEE, Davis said, “I’ve enjoyed every day and feel lucky to be a part of iHeartRadio. I want to thank everyone who’s been a part of my radio journey.” Your best wishes can be sent to Jim at JimDavis@iheartmedia.com.
