Davis Named VP/Prog. For iHeart Greensboro

Zac Davis has returned to iHeartMedia — and to Greensboro — as the newly named Vice President of Programming for the company’s five-station Greensboro cluster — Country WTQR (Q104.1), Top 40 WMKS (100.3 Kiss FM), AC WMAG, Mainstream Rock WVBZ (105.7 Man Up!) and News-Talk WPTI.

Davis reports to Kellie Holeman, President of iHeartMedia Greensboro, who said, “I’m thrilled to welcome Zac to my team in Greensboro, and I look forward to collaborating with him to continue developing these great brands. Zac brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity across all formats, and I look forward to a long, prosperous partnership.”

Davis segues from Entercom Richmond, Virginia, where he most recently served as SVP of Programming. No stranger to the iHeartMedia family — or the Carolinas — Davis previously programmed iHeart Top 40 duo WKSS (Kiss 95-7)/Hartford and WKCI (KC101)/New Haven and served as SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Myrtle Beach, SC. Davis’ extensive programming resume also includes iHeartMedia Top 40 WDCG (G105)/Raleigh, OM of Max Media’s KDHT (Hot 107.1) & KJHM (Jammin’ 101.5)/Denver, APD/MD/afternoons at WRDU/Raleigh and earlier PD stints at WABB/Mobile, WGBT/Greensboro, KOSO/Modesto and WBVD/Melbourne, FL. He began his broadcasting career at Wild 106/Tallahassee while attending FSU.

“Davis remarked, “I’ve really enjoyed my four years in Richmond, but I’ve always considered North Carolina my home, so I’m thrilled to head back to Greensboro — I never did change my 336 number. After getting to know Kellie Holeman, Maynard and Brian Hall, I knew this was a special team, and I’m excited to join the region. Looking forward to leading the iHeartMedia Greensboro programming team and overseeing these amazing radio stations.” Davis added, “I really want to thank Entercom Virginia President Bennett Zier, former iHeartMedia RVP Rick Green and Entercom Programming Chief Pat Paxton for all they’ve taught me during my time here. We have achieved some amazing goals here and this is an amazing cluster that I was fortunate to be a part of and where our son was born. RVA & the Entercom Richmond staff will always hold a special place in our minds and hearts. Go Heels!!”
