Kollins, Lanchak On The Loose

RAMP has confirmed that Don Kollins exited as PD of Entercom Sports-Talk KGMZ (95.7 The Game)/San Francisco. For now, KOIT & KUFX Operations Manager Brian Figula is handling programming responsibilities for The Game as management prepares to launch a search for a successor.

Kollins (left) arrived in the City By The Bay in June 2015. His 20-year programming career includes a previous five-year stint as PD of Rogers Broadcasting’s CJCL (SportsNet 590 The Fan)/Toronto and an earlier PD stop with Rogers’ News-Talk CKGL (570 News)/Ontario. Kollins is now entertaining interesting offers and can be reached at 415-278-1602 or donkollins@gmail.com.

Marissa Lanchak has exited the midday shift at Townsquare Media Country WGNA/Albany, NY as her position was reportedly eliminated — despite doubling her ratings within the past year, as she told us. Lanchak joined WGNA in March of 2016, crossing the street from Pamal Top 40 WFLY, where she had spent the better part of a decade as APD/MD/afternoon personality.

Lanchak originally went to work for WFLY back in 2004. After spending most of 2006 with KQKQ/Omaha, Lanchak returned to Fly 92 in 2007, working her way back up to APD/MD/afternoons. While she seeks her next radio opportunity, Lanchak continues to host a podcast called “Pretty In POP!” which is streaming on iTunes, Google Play and SoundCloud. She can be contacted at marissalanchak624@yahoo.com.

We are also hearing a number of unconfirmed reports of layoffs within iHeartMedia’s Virginia/Carolina Region, including Norfolk, Winchester and Harrisonburg, VA. If you, or someone you know has been adversely affected, please let us know so that we can share your contact information with prospective employers. Thank you.
