Edge & Dumas Exit iHeart Raleigh

• At press time RAMP confirmed two major departures from iHeartMedia’s Raleigh cluster — Chris Edge (left), Area SVP of Programming for Raleigh & Greensboro, and Bob Dumas (right), who earlier this year celebrated his 27th anniversary as host of Bob & The Showgram on Top 40 WDCG (G105). We understand that the rest of the Showgram cast — Erica, Producer Ben and Ashleyh — remains in place.

Edge had been with the cluster — this time — since September 2012 — it was his second tour of duty there. Edge originally worked for Clear Channel Raleigh from 1994-2003, the final four years as PD of G105. In October of 2003 he was hired away as PD of then Emmis-owned WNOU (RadioNow 93.1)/Indianapolis, and in 2007 he transferred to Emmis Austin, spending the next five years as PD of Triple A KGSR and Director of Digital Media for the cluster before returning to Raleigh seven years ago.

So far there has been no definitive word on whether either of these two positions will be replaced. Stay tuned to RAMP for further details.
