Entercom Orlando Throws PD Party

• Entercom just made some programming moves in Orlando, promoting Dana Taylor to Program Director of Hot AC WOMX (Mix 105.1) and tapping company vet John O’Connell to assume the PD role at Alternative WQMP (FM 101.9). He will continue to program Alternative WSFS (104.3 The Shark) and WKIS (Kiss Country 99.9)/Miami.

“I’m excited to elevate Dana and John to these roles,” said Claudia Menegus, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Orlando. “They are both talented leaders with infectious passion for our brands and I’m confident they will continue to raise the bar.”

Taylor, co-host of The Morning Mix, joined Mix 105.1 in 1994 and was most recently APD. Prior to joining Entercom, Taylor was MD of WFSY/Panama City, FL. “I’m very fortunate to work with a company that values creativity and open communication,” said Taylor. “I’m looking forward to working with a team of talent that consistently brings real energy and passion for radio to our listeners.”

O’Connell commented, “I’m thrilled to take on the program director role of FM 101.9. This is an exciting time for the station as it continues to grow and serve the Alternative music fan community in Orlando.”

> Adding even more excitement to the proceedings, FM 101.9 MD/midday talent Melissa “Mel” Leigh-Sorrentino is awarded APD stripes. Sorrentino transferred to FM101.9 just last month from 104.3 The Shark/Miami, where she was the Programming Assistant and on-air personality.
