Farewell, WNKS & KXTE
• It’s a done deal — Christian broadcaster K-LOVE, Inc. has formally closed on the $8 million purchase of now former Top 40 WNKS-FM/Charlotte, NC, and now former Alternative KXTE-FM/Pahrump, NV, from Beasley Media Group Licenses, LLC.
As we recently reported, WNKS morning duo Maney & LauRen have moved over to Classic Hits sibling WKQC (K104.7), while KXTE’s intellectual property has migrated over to sister KVGS and rebranded as X107.9. K-LOVE is changing WNKS calls to WNLV.
Naples, FL-based Beasley Media Group, LLC, led by CEO Caroline Beasley, owns 49 radio properties in large and medium-sized markets across the United States.
K-LOVE, Inc., is a Tennessee-based non-profit corporation headed by CEO Tom Stultz that owns or operates radio stations across all 50 states.
WNKS-FM operates at 95.1 MHz, with 100.000 kW at 1,542′ HAAT, and KXTE-FM operates at 107.5 MHz, with 24.500 kW at 3,730′ HAAT. KALIL & CO., INC. was the exclusive broker for this transaction.
