Federated Pros On The Loose

• RAMP has learned of at least two unscheduled departures from Federated Media in Ft. Wayne, IN, the first being 15-year company veteran Jimmy Knight, who has exited as OM/PD of Hot AC 97.3 WMEE and Country WQHK (K105).

Knight (left) joined WMEE in January 2011, transitioning from Artistic Media in Lafayette, IN, where he was cluster OM and PD/afternoon jock on Top 40 WAZY. He annexed PD stripes for WQHK in August 2017 when Dave Michaels left.

Knight shared news of his unexpected exit in a LinkedIn post that reads, in part, “I am looking for roles as an Operations Manager, Program Director, On-Air, and Media Buyer roles. I am also open to other opportunities. I would prefer to stay in Fort Wayne, IN, but for the right opportunity I am willing to relocate.” Knight can be contacted at DJJimmyKnight@yahoo.com.
