For Bailey, The Adventure Continues
• RAMP has confirmed that Dallas-based Bailey is stepping down from her position as Audacy Regional Alternative Brand Manager and is transitioning into a part-time on-air position with the company.
Bailey (pictured) joined Audacy’s KVIL (ALT 103.7)/Dallas as MD/midday talent in Nov. 2019 after 16 years with iHeartMedia Alternative KTCL (Channel 93.3)/Denver, where she served as MD for KTCL and sister KBPI. She was elevated to Alternative Brand Manager in Sept. 2020 when then-Entercom “reimagined” its Alternative and Country formats. Bailey began her radio career at the late, great WFNX/Boston and has also worked multiple formats in Springfield, IL, Hartford, CT, Providence and St. Louis.
RAMP caught up with Ms. Bailey, who told us, “I’m looking forward to transitioning from my role as an Alternative Brand Manager into a part-time on-air position with Audacy. This change will allow me to focus on other interests, including V/O work and my ‘Gifts for Grands’ charity. I’m excited for this next chapter and thankful for the opportunity to continue doing what I love — connecting with people through radio!” Looking ahead, Bailey can be contacted at stereobailey@gmail.com or bailey@alt1037dfw.com.
• Audacy SVP of Alternative Programming Mike Kaplan is now actively searching for a new Regional Alternative Brand Manager. As the brief description reads, “You will provide artistic, creative, inspirational and professional leadership for the format as well as local oversight and communication.” The gig is posted on the Audacy Careers portal (ID: 2021-2497).
