iHeartMedia has promoted Brian Hall to SVP of Programming for the company’s six-station Asheville, NC group — WWNC (News Radio 570), WPEK (880 The Revolution), Adult Hits WKSF HD2 (97.7 The Brew), WKSF (99.9 Kiss Country), Top 40 WQNQ (Star 104.3) and Classic Rock WQNS (Rock 105.1).

Hall certainly has the market equity — he’s worked in iHeartMedia’s Asheville and Greenville markets for 15 years, most recently as PD of News Radio 570 WWNC and 880 The Revolution in Asheville and WGVL (Fox Sports 1440)/Greenville. He also served as Local Sales Manager for iHeartMedia Asheville and seven years as an Affiliation Relations Director for Premiere Networks. Bill McMartin, Area President for iHeartMedia’s Asheville, Greenville and Greensboro markets, concurs, as he said, “Brian’s vast experience in Asheville will really help us continue to dominate the market in every format. We have an experienced team in Asheville who all have great respect for Brian and his ability to lead our programming efforts.”

Meg Stevens, EVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Northeast Division said, “Brian’s expert leadership skills and market knowledge make him the perfect choice to lead the Asheville team. We’re extremely excited to have him take the reins as our new Senior Vice President of Programming.” Hall added, “I am both honored and excited about this promotion. We are one big family here at iHeartMedia Asheville. I’ve been blessed to have been with the company for 22 years and am looking forward to our continued growth in ratings and revenue.”
