Hank FM/Indianapolis Gets Wild

• Former WKTI/Milwaukee PD Ryan Wild is headed to Indianapolis as the new PD of Emmis Country WLHK (97.1 Hank FM), with a start date of Dec. 10. He succeeds Fritz Moser, who left in September after nine years.

“Ryan had everything we were looking for — creativity, passion, great communication skills and strategic vision,” said David Wood, Director of Programming for Emmis Indianapolis. “He has led his stations to success in some very competitive situations.”

Wild most recently programmed Scripps Country WKTI/Milwaukee from June 2017 until Nov. 1 of this year, when Good Karma Brands bought the station and flipped it to 94.1 ESPN. Prior to joining WKTI, Wild worked for NRG Media in Omaha as FM Operations Manager of Hot AC KQKQ (Sweet 98.5), Rhythmic KOPW (Power 106.9) and Adult Hits KOOO (101.9 The Keg). Wild previously spent six years as OM/PD of WZSR & WFXFin suburban Chicago, and earlier in his career he programmed KCCQ & KASI/Des Moines, IA and WXLP & KBOB/Quad Cities, IL-IA.

Commenting on his new gig, Wild said, “To be given the opportunity to come to work for Emmis and work with industry icons like Bob Richards and David Wood is truly an honor. Hank-FM is a legendary station that is loaded with amazing talent, and I am looking forward to taking Hank to another level of success.”
