Hott From Coast To Coast
• Looking back on her three-decade radio career, all of it spent with iHeartMedia, Hudson Hott has made what she terms the “incredibly difficult decision” to leave Los Angeles — and her full-time midday position at KYSR (ALT 98.7) — and relocate to a lovely beachside community on the east coast. The good news is, she will continue to host 7-midnight on Hot AC sister KIOI (Star 101.3)/San Francisco and fill in on ALT when she can.
“This station has given me an amazing life that I could never have dreamed of,” said Hott, who started her radio career in Honolulu, doing overnights at 98 Rock, and later transitioned over to KUCD (Star 101.9), where she spent the next 20 years alongside Scotty B. “I even raised my son in that studio until he was four,” Hott said. “When he started acting and dancing professionally, we moved to LA to accommodate his busy schedule, and being part of ALT 98.7 felt like everything coming full circle.”
Hott continued, “ALT 98.7 and iHeart have been everything to me, and I have been able to live my dream because of them. I’ve loved every moment in LA — working at ALT 98.7 was my dream, and I even have the station’s coordinates tattooed on my wrist!”
In closing, Hott said, “I’m excited for this next chapter at my new beach house. I’ll be back on the air whenever I can, and I want to send my love and aloha to everyone in radio.” You may follow Ms. Hott’s further adventures on Instagram.
