Houston’s Bull Reveals New Morning Show

Lewis is a CMA and ACM Major Market Personality of the Year winner with over two decades of experience in Country radio and artist development, most recently doing middays at KNIX/Phoenix, where she originally began her career. Lewis went on to work at KIIM-FM/Tucson, did seven years at Big Machine Label Group/Republic Nashville, before returning to radio in 2016 at KWNR (95.5 The Bull)/Las Vegas, before circling home to KNIX in 2017.
Wood’s professional trajectory began at WQXI/Atlanta, covering major sports franchises, and was followed by a tenure with Leighton Media in St. Cloud, Minnesota as Sports Director at KNSI and co-host of the syndicated Kelly & Wood show on sister KZPK (Wild Country 99.9). Wood most recently co-hosted Townsquare’s nationally syndicated Taste of Country Mornings in Nashville.
“I’m so excited about the pairing of Matt Wood and Lois Lewis. Both have had very impressive careers and have set themselves apart from their contemporaries, and when we put them together, the chemistry was almost instantaneous,” said Bruce Logan, Brand Manager of 100.3 The Bull. “We wanted to build Houston’s best morning show, a show that cares about the community and wakes up every morning wanting to make Bull Nation Laugh. The Morning Bull with Matt & Lois is going to change the landscape of Houston mornings.”
“They say everything’s bigger in Texas, and my first conversation with Matt Wood proved it!” Lewis said. “Our very first FaceTime lasted two hours and 14 minutes, with big energy and morning-show chemistry right outta the chute. I’ve admired Hall of Famers Bruce Logan and Chris Huff for years, and it didn’t take long to understand why Sarah Frazier is the Ultimate Boss Lady. I’m so grateful they’ve invited me to join this team. I can’t wait to dive into Houston, connect with our community and clients, and bring our BIG ENERGY to The Morning Bull every day. You can’t spell ‘THE BULL’ without ‘Double-L!'”
“I could not be more excited to be joining The Bull in Houston,” Wood said. “Getting the chance to work with this team is a dream come true. Coming in every day and learning from Bruce and Chris, alongside Lois in the mornings, is about as perfect a situation as anyone could ask for. Everything I have learned so far about Houston has me excited to jump into the community and be part of the city.”
