It’s Magic: Lisa Adams Back In Boise
• Cumulus has launched a new AC station in Boise, ID, flipping KQFC from Classic Country to Magic 97.9, under the command of a familiar name — Lisa Adams, who most recently programmed Hubbard Radio’s KNUC (98.9 The Bull)/Seattle until April of this year.
This new gig marks a return to Boise for Adams, who was formerly Operations Manager/Program Director for Townsquare Media’s Boise group. Her other notable programming stops include KLCK, KQMV and KYPT/Seattle and KXJM/Portland, OR.
In making the announcement of Adams’ hire, Don Morin, RVP/Market Manager of Cumulus Boise, commented, “We are so fortunate to launch a new format with a veteran programmer like Lisa at the helm. Her experience and knowledge of the market and format puts us in the position to win right out of the gate!”
Adams will also helm the Magic 97.9 morning show, accompanied by market mainstay Mike Kasper with the news, and station vet Bret Connors in afternoon drive, with more announcements to follow. Adams remarked, “I’m incredibly excited and blessed to start my new radio chapter back in a town I love and missed so much! And suddenly you know… it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings. Thank you to John Dimick and Don Morin for their confidence in me to help lead a new brand into existence for Boise and the Treasure Valley. I can’t wait to get to work! Let’s make some radio magic!”
