It’s News To Aaron Trimmer

Yesterday we skillfully teased this news… today… BOOM! It’s official — iHeartMedia Phoenix formally announced Aaron Trimmer is the new Program Director for News-Talk KFYI-AM, Sports-Talk KGME-AM (Fox Sports 910) and Talk KOY-AM (KFYI 2), effective July 5. Trimmer earns the transfer from his current post as Director of Spoken Word Programming for iHeartMedia Richmond, VA and PD of News-Talk WRVA (Newsradio 1140), WRNL (Fox Sports 910) and Virginia News Network. “We’re excited to have Aaron bring his experiences out West,” said Steve Geofferies, EVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s West Division. “His track record speaks for itself, from brand execution to talent coaching, he’s a tremendous resource for our stations in the Arizona Region.”

Trimmer has been in Richmond since August 2014. His previous programming stops include WHAM-AM & WHTK-AM/Rochester, NY, WSYR-AM/Syracuse, NY, WERC/Birmingham, AL and WLAP/Lexington, KY. “I am beyond excited to work with the iHeartMedia team in Phoenix,” said Trimmer. “There’s a tremendous amount of talent with their spoken word brands and I look forward to leading the team and community to new heights.”

As we previously reported, Trimmer succeeds Neil Larrimore, who exited last week and can be reached at Nlarrimore2@gmail.com.
