Jeff Named Dir./Content For Townsquare Albany

• Townsquare Media Albany, NY keeps it in the family and elevates Matty Jeff to Director of Content/Albany. He replaces Steve Richards, who left the company this week. Jeff remains Brand Manager of heritage Country 107.7 WGNA and now adds operational oversight of Classic Rock WQBK (Q105.7), Alternative WQSH (ALT 103.5), Soft AC WPBZ (103.9 The Breeze), Hip Hop Hot 99.1 (WQBK-HD2) and Sports-Talk WTMM-FM (The Team).

“Matty has programmed WGNA to be a consistent local ratings and online leader and by far the No. 1 Country station in the Capital Region,” said Kevin Rich, Market President of Townsquare Albany. “Having him as my partner in the Director of Content Role will make our locally-programmed stations even stronger.” Townsquare SVP of Programming Kurt Johnson commented, “Matty is a rare talent and leader and we’re so happy to grow his role at Townsquare. Jeff has served as WGNA Brand Manager since November 2015. His previous stops include WPOR & WYNZ/Portland, ME, WNHW/Concord, NH, and WNNJ/Newton, NJ.
