Jessica Tyler Comes Home To New England

• Townsquare Media’s heritage Country 97.5 WOKQ Portsmouth, NH and format sibling WPKQ (103.7 The Peak), which services the Portland, ME area welcome industry vet Jessica Tyler into the family in the newly created role of Assistant Brand Manager. Ms. Tyler will also do middays on WOKQ and serve as Promotions Director for Townsquare Media Portsmouth.

The move marks a New England homecoming for Ms. Tyler and a reunion with Operations Manager Robby Bridges — she was previously APD/MD/midday personality at WDRQ/Detroit and MD of WDVD/Detroit when he programmed both stations. Bridges remarked, “Jess’ skills in creating big artist driven listener experiences and events, her leadership, and her relationships with artists and management in Nashville are second to none. She’s best-in-class talent and I’m thrilled to work with her again as she’ll bring passion to the station in middays and create great content for our digital platforms.” Brian Lang, Regional Market President for Townsquare Portland-Portsmouth added, “We are excited to have Jess Tyler return to New England and be part of the Townsquare team.”

Indeed, Ms. Tyler’s previous New England radio stops include WCTK/Providence, WRNX/Springfield, MA and WPLR/New Haven, CT. She was also morning co-host at SummitMedia Country WQNU (Q103)/Louisville prior to her big move to Detroit in late 2017. Tyler commented, “I’m really excited to join these HUGE Country brands, work closely with Brian Lang and to join Robby’s programming team in Northern New England. I grew up just down the road in Massachusetts, so it’s great to be closer to family too!”
