Jim Fox Named OM of Cumulus Kansas City
• Cumulus Media has appointed 30-year programming pro Jim Fox as Operations Manager for its seven-station cluster in Kansas City, and Program Director of Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM. Fox joins Cumulus Kansas City following a 17-year career with Audacy/Entercom, where he was most recently VP of Programming for the company’s four Dallas music stations until he was caught up in a wave of COVID-related layoffs in Sept. 2020. Prior to his Dallas arrival in Dec. 2017, Fox spent 14 years in Sacramento, rising to VP of Programming for the company’s six-station group and Entercom Rock/Alternative Format Captain.
As RAMP recently reported, current KCMO-FM PD Joe Russo has earned the transfer back to his hometown of Buffalo, NY as PD of Classic Rock WGRF (97 Rock) & Talk1270 WHLD and Classic Rock sister WQHZ (Z102.3) Erie, PA.
