Jock Remix At Miami’s 103.5 The Beat

• iHeartMedia’s WMIB (103.5 The Beat)/Miami, South Florida’s home for Hip Hop and R&B, announced the debut of a new weekday lineup packed with the some of the most recognizable voices in Hip Hop and R&B, bringing the energy, music and culture that defines Miami to afternoons, evenings and nights.

Beginning June 29, DJ Entice moves from nights to afternoon drive, followed by the debut of “Strictly BS” with Billy Blue and Slim City from 6-10pm. Ferrari and BT will anchor the late-night shift, bringing their popular Atlanta show to Miami from 10pm-2am. The Breakfast Club remains in mornings, followed by Stichiz in middays. Bootleg Kev will continue to hold down the overnight shift.

“This lineup reflects the energy and diversity of South Florida,” said Shari Gonzalez, Market President for iHeartMedia Miami. “From DJ Entice’s move to afternoons to the launch of ‘Strictly BS’ and the addition of Ferrari and BT, we’re delivering programming that is locally connected, culturally relevant and built for Miami listeners.”

And there’s more — Longtime 103.5 The Beat afternoon drive personality “Papa Keith” Walcott (left) has been named National Brand Partnerships Multicultural Specialist for iHeart. He will continue to host his Saturday morning show and successful podcast, Common Sense PhD.

“Papa Keith has played a pivotal role in shaping the legacy of 103.5 The Beat and its connection to South Florida for decades,” said Gonzalez. “His authenticity, community leadership and deep cultural influence have earned the trust of listeners and partners across Miami, and we’re excited to see his impact continue to grow both on and off the air.”

“For more than 30 years, radio has given me the opportunity to connect with the community,” said Papa Keith. “As I pass the torch to DJ Entice, someone who represents the energy and passion of 103.5 The Beat, I know afternoons are in great hands. While he takes the show to the next level, I’m excited to begin a new chapter with iHeartMedia, expanding my impact and serving Miami on an even bigger stage.”

“Our new lineup reflects both legacy and evolution,” said Jill Strada, PD of 103.5 The Beat. “This is truly a South Florida lineup with homegrown talent that embodies the energy, culture and spirit of our city.”
