Joey Tack Exploring His Options

• Yesterday we learned that Joey Tack will step down as APD and morning show host at Emmis Country WLHK (97.1 Hank FM)/Indianapolis at the end of his contract to pursue other industry opportunities.

RAMP reached out to Tack, who told us, “Hosting a large market morning show has always been a dream of mine, and I’m thankful to Emmis for the opportunity and grateful for their understanding as my personal priorities have shifted. I’m looking forward to my next career steps.”

Tack was named to his current post last August, coming off a two-year stint as PD of Bonneville Country KNCI/Sacramento. Tack notably spent 15 years with SummitMedia Rhythmic Top 40 WKHT (Hot 104.5)/Knoxville, the last five as PD, and before that put in 5+ years with iHeartMedia’s WLLR and the former WHTS/Quad Cities, IA-IL

Despite his impending change in employment, Tack will continue to serve as Chairman of the CRS Agenda Committee to plan next year’s Country Radio Seminar. He can be reached at JoeyTack@gmail.com.
