JusNik Earns Afternoons At WBLS/NYC

• MediaCo Urban AC WBLS/New York welcomes JusNik to do afternoon drive, starting this week. The new gig means a homecoming for the Brooklyn-born, Queens-raised JusNik, who was most recently the Program Director and host of the Midday Kickback on Cox Media Group Hip Hop WBHJ (95.7 Jamz)/Birmingham, AL.

“We’re pleased to have JusNik join the WBLS family,” said Cynthia Smith, PD of WBLS, adding, “Her down-to-earth nature makes us all feel right at home.” Pio Ferro, SVP of Programming, commented, “JusNik brings a proven and exciting skillset to WBLS. Her vibrant and exhilarating personality is going to shine in the afternoons.”

JusNik got her first radio break via an internship at heritage Urban WEUP/Huntsville, AL while simultaneously earning a degree from Alabama A&M University. She was offered her first commercial on-air opportunity doing nights on AC WHRP. Shortly after graduating, she landed a position as a morning show co-host on WBHJ’s BuckWilde Morning Show.
