JVC Hires A Whole Busload

JVC Broadcasting just pulled off its own in-house employment boom, hiring or internally promoting 16(!) employees across its Long Island and Florida operations. In January 2022 JVC began a massive recruitment campaign using its local radio stations and social media platforms and the response was overwhelming, according to John Caracciolo, President & CEO of JVC, who said, “The current radio market is great for employment. There was a lot of trepidation for media companies in 2020 and 2021 — people wanted to see how things would work out and if the radio business would bounce back, and it did, stronger than ever.”

> JVC’s Long Island cluster adds Leeana Costa as Traffic Manager and Donna DiBiase as a Sr. Account Executive; veteran air personality and V/O pro Sunny Joe Allen joins as a fulltime AE and part-time air talent; Darryl Murphy joins JVC NY’s growing Sales Department as Sales Assistant; Estefania Andino is now doing nights on WBON (98.5 La Fiesta); Michael Scudiero is upped to Operations Manager of LI News Radio; Scotty Hart takes on nights at Oldies 98 (WPTY-HD2/W251BY) in addition to his Super Saturday Night Show; Frank Campanella, a.k.a. “Frankie C” takes over web duties for Oldies 98 and adds weekends/fill-in for Oldies 98 and WJVC (My Country 96.1); and Cody Feola joins the JVC Promotions staff as Digital Media Coordinator.

> At JVC’s Long Island Events division, Patrick Caracciolo is upped to VP & Operations Director; John Morgenthaler, a.k.a. “LJ” joins as facility manager of the company’s 7,000-seat outdoor venue, and longtime Live Nation veteran Jason Stone joins Long Island Events to oversee bookings and operations of the company’s live events and NTR opportunities in all markets.

> JVC Orlando announces the addition of Omar Vasquez, a.k.a. Lil’ Shawn and Wendy Richardson, and JVC Ft. Walton Beach welcomes Ray Edwards and Lacy Mertins.

Caracciolo added, “The most important and most rewarding investment an entrepreneur can make isn’t a new client or a cool piece of equipment — it’s your team of employees. I have built this business by surrounding myself with fantastic people who are visionaries and leaders. If all your employees become entrepreneurially-minded or leaders in their own right, your organization will grow even faster. And the coolest thing about this entire recruitment campaign, we did all the outreach using only our local radio station assets! So yes, RADIO IS WORKING AND RADIO WORKS!”
