‘K-D-W-Brrrr…. It’s Cold!’
• As you read this, that dreaded and dangerous Polar Vortex is causing once-in-a-generation low temperatures that have plunged large parts of the country into a dangerous deep freeze. It’s so cold (How cold is it?) that certain areas across the Great Plains will be chillier than parts of Antarctica today. No, seriously.
The extreme temperatures have so adversely affected the Twin Cities that the U.S. Postal Service has halted mail deliveries, and worst of all, iHeartMedia Top 40 KDWB/Minneapolis has literally “frozen its B off.”
A violently shivering PD Rich Davis explains, “Because of that we’ll be known only by ‘KDW.’ All sweepers, jock talks, jingles, promos etc. will be without the B.” Crouched behind a space heater, Davis continues, “The low today is expected to be minus 30. And that’s not the wind chill, folks, that’s the actual outside air temp. With the wind chill it’s supposed to be minus 45 to minus 65 degrees. Clearly our B is frozen off… May God be with us.”
