Kage Match Made In Salt Lake City

• Cumulus Country KUBL (93.3 The Bull)/Salt Lake City has inked format veteran John E Kage as its new Program Director. He will succeed Travis Daily, who last month was named PD of Country cousins WKDF and WSM-FM (95.5 Nash Icon)/Nashville.

Kage arrives from neighboring Colorado, where he spent the past five years with iHeartMedia Denver as PD of Country/Top 40 combo KWBL (106.7 The Bull) and KDHT (HITS 95.7).

A native of Minnesota, Kage started his radio career at KDWB/Minneapolis and went on to spend seven years as PD and Digital Content Director of Entercom Top 40 KQKS (KS107.5)/Denver. In November 2015 he was named Director of Branding for Cox Media Group Top 40 WPOI (Hot 101.5), and nine months later, Kage returned to the Mile High City as PD of Bonneville Country KYGO.

Patrick Reedy, RVP/Market Manager, Cumulus Salt Lake City, said, “After an exhaustive search to replace Travis Daily, we were thrilled that John E Kage threw his hat in the ring. We’re confident he has the skill set, knowledge, and tenacity to take KUBL to the next level.”

OM Chris Hoffman commented, “John’s passion for Country music and love of the Mountain West lifestyle make him a perfect fit for Utah.”

Kage remarked, “Thank you to Brian Phillips, John Dimick, Pat Reedy, Chris Hoffman and Travis Daily for putting their faith in me. I’m excited to join this incredible team and keep the momentum going at KUBL. Utah is one of my favorite places in America and being right next door to my home state, Colorado, I couldn’t have written a better script.”
