Karina Farias Joins Edison Research

Edison Research is pleased to announce that radio veteran Karina Farias is joining the company as Project Coordinator. Farias (left) recently stepped down from her dual roles as Program Director and morning co-host of Bonneville Classic Rock KUFX (98.5 K-Fox)/San Jose and moved back to her home state of Texas. Now based in San Antonio, Farias will be directing an array of market research projects with a focus on audio and media clients. She will also take a role in Edison’s election research.

Edison Research President Larry Rosin noted, “Karina’s experience in audio combined with her passion for research will be a great fit, and we’re excited to have her join the team.”

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Farias started her radio career as a morning show intern at KTEX-FM/McAllen, TX. She later went to work for Bryan Broadcasting in College Station, TX as APD/MD/afternoon personality on Country KVMK (Maverick 100.9) and APD/MD on Classic Country Willy 97.7 (KNDE-HD2). She also did part-time on Audacy Country KILT (100.3 The Bull)/Houston before moving to San Francisco in 2018 as MD of AC KOIT & 98.5 K-Fox.

Farias remarked, “My enthusiasm for research is matched only by my love for the audio industry, so I’m eager to combine my interests and skills with the many types of research projects that Edison conducts.”
