KFBK Reshuffles Its On-Air Lineup

• iHeartMedia’s KFBK NewsRadio/Sacramento announced its new programming schedule, effective June 2: After six years as co-host of The KFBK Morning News alongside Cristina Mendonsa, Sam Shane will transition to hosting a new live and local talk show from noon-3pm. Shane (left) will succeed Tom Sullivan, who recently announced his semi-retirement and concluding his daily show after three decades on KFBK.

Mendonsa (center), an award-winning journalist and veteran Sacramento TV news anchor and reporter, will continue to host and lead The KFBK Morning News weekdays from 5-9am. Joining Mendonsa in the morning will be Mark Demsky (right), who will serve as news anchor and present special report segments. Demsky joined KFBK last year after serving as a sports anchor and reporter at KTXL (Fox 40)/Sacramento.

Effective June 2, here is KFBK’s weekday schedule — 5-9am: The KFBK Morning News with Cristina Mendonsa • 9am-noon: Clay Travis & Buck Sexton • Noon-3pm: Sam Shane • 3-4pm: John McGinness • 4-7pm: The KFBK Afternoon News with Kitty O’Neal • 7-10pm: Pat Walsh • 10pm-4am: Coast to Coast AM with George Noory • 4-5am: This Morning, America’s First News, with Gordon Deal.
