Killabrew Upgrades To iHeart D.C.

• iHeartMedia announced that Mike Killabrew has been named Director of Rock Programming for Classic Rock WBIG (BIG 100) and Alternative WWDC (DC101)/Washington, D.C., effective April 1.

With nearly 20 years of programming experience for iHeartMedia, Killabrew earns the transfer from iHeartMedia Indianapolis, where for the past three years has served as SVP of Programming for WFBQ (Q95), WOLT (Alt 103.3), WNDE (Fox Sports 97.5 & AM 1260) and Urban WZRL (Real 98.3). Before arriving in Indianapolis in March 2016 Killabrew programmed KPTL (ALT 106.3) and Sports-Talk KXNO-AM/Des Moines, IA, preceded by a nine-year run with iHeartMedia Tampa Bay, where he programmed WXTB (98 Rock) from 2010-2012, and also worked with WDAE-AM & WHNZ-AM.

Killabrew will report to Jeff Kapugi, Region SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Washington and Baltimore, who commented, “I’m excited to have Mike Killabrew join iHeartMedia Washington D.C. to lead our iconic rock brands, BIG 100 and DC101.
