Killabrew Upped To OM, Cumulus Indy
• Mike Killabrew has been elevated to Operations Manager for Cumulus Media’s six-station Indianapolis group — Country WFMS, Top 40 WZPL, Classic Hits WJJK, Mainstream Rock WNDX (93.9X), AC WNTR (107.9 The Mix), & Sports-Talk WXNT-AM (Indy’s Sports Ticket 1430). He will retain his current responsibilities as Program Director of WJJK, WNDX, and WXNT-AM.
In making the announcement, Darlene Park, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Indianapolis, said, “Mike is an impactful leader who has a strong track record of building and developing great teams, serving the community, and delivering results. He understands our market and our amazing brands will grow under his leadership.”
Prior to joining Cumulus Indianapolis in May 2022, Killabrew spent three years across the street as SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Indianapolis group and PD of WFBQ (Q95) and WOLT (ALT 103.3). Before that he served as Director of Rock Programming for iHeart’s WWDC (DC101) & WBIG/Washington. Killabrew earlier programmed iHeartMedia’s KPTL (ALT 106.3) and Sports-Talk KXNO-AM/Des Moines, IA, preceded by a nine-year run with iHeart Tampa Bay and PD of WXTB (98 Rock).

The Indy OM position was most recently occupied by Christopher “Boomer” Layfield, who exited last month.
