Knight Texas-Bound For iHeartMedia
• iHeartMedia has hired veteran programmer Chuck Knight as Region Senior Vice President of Programming for the company’s Austin/San Antonio region, effective April 1. In this new role, Knight will oversee programming for the 15+ stations in the Austin and San Antonio markets and also serve as Program Director for AC KQXT (Q101.9)/San Antonio.
Knight will report to Matt Martin, Region President for iHeartMedia Austin/San Antonio, who said, “Chuck has an extensively long track record of tremendous success and is an amazingly talented leader and programmer. We are very excited to have him join our market, steer our brands and continue to develop our team of talented program directors.”
Knight most recent programmed Entercom AC WBEB (B101.1)/Philadelphia for 11 years until December 2018. His extensive radio resume includes programming, operations and on-air stops at Saga AC WSNY (Sunny 95)/Columbus, OH, AM/FM Hot AC WYXR/Philadelphia, Emmis Hot AC WENS/Indianapolis, Saga Top 40 KRNQ/Des Moines, IA and Ingstadt Broadcasting Top 40 WLXR/La Crosse, WI.
