KRBE Now Privy To The Backstage Experience

• Sending best wishes to our longtime pal Dave Morales, host of The Backstage Experience, which just nailed down its latest affiliate: Cumulus Top 40 104.1 KRBE/Houston — the show’s second Top 10 market, after originally launching on iHeartMedia’s KHKS/Dallas.

This marks Morales’ radio return to KRBE, where he worked from 2011-2015. “KRBE is the radio station that inspired me as a kid to pursue radio from the beginning,” he said. “I can’t wait to bring our celebrity content to one of my favorite radio stations!”

The weekly radio show, which features interviews with Hollywood’s biggest stars, accompanies its television counterpart, which is based at KRIV (FOX 26)/Houston and airs in 21 markets across America, including Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Seattle, Orlando, San Antonio, and Las Vegas. The Backstage Experience television show will debut in Los Angeles this Fall.

Guests for this weekend’s show include Tom Cruise, Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, Natalie Portman, John Krasinski and Ana de Armas.

The radio show is produced by Jerome “Yo J” Ronquillo, Production Director of KRBE and the voice of the nationally syndicated The Backstage Experience television show.

Leslie Whittle, Regional Content Director for Cumulus Houston & Atlanta and VP of Top 40, Hot AC & Rhythmic CHR, notes, “The Backstage Experience is a great topical show that’s in-the-moment and fits every lifestyle and format.”

Showrunner Jon Stenvall remarked, “The Backstage Experience is seeing explosive growth all across the country as we’ve increased our audience size by over 500% the past two months. To be able to share our exclusive viral content with KRBE here at home in Houston means everything to Dave and I.” To inquire about bringing The Backstage Experience to [your call letters here], email jon@backstageol.com.
