Kris Daniels Joins Radio Disney
• Veteran programmer/personality Kris Daniels has joined Radio Disney Network as Sr. Manager, Music Programming. Daniels’ new duties will include music programming, label, artist, management, and talent booking strategies for the Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country platforms, while also serving as the network’s main liaison to the music industry.
Ms. Daniels is a second-generation radio pro (her father is Country Radio Hall of Famer Larry Daniels). She most recently programmed online Country station Country AF Radio, preceded by a multi-year run as PD/morning host at Beasley Country KCYE (102.7 The Coyote)/Las Vegas.
Daniels previously spent five years as MD/morning co-host at SummitMedia Country WQNU (New Country Q103.1)/Louisville, and her earlier radio history includes stops in Bakersfield, a stint with Johnjay & Rich at KRQQ/Tucson and a run with Clear Channel Country KHGE/Fresno. Interestingly, she is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
“Kris brings over two decades of experience in various media industry positions,” said Phil Guerini, GM of Radio Disney Network and VP of Music Strategy for Disney Channels Worldwide. “Her extensive knowledge of the latest trends in radio and pop culture will play an integral role as we continue to evolve our Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country programming approach and strategies.” Daniels can now be reached at kris.daniels@disney.com. [Full disclosure: my son Morgan is an on-air personality for Radio Disney].
