Kruse Upped To APD At KPLZ/Seattle

• Lotus Hot AC KPLZ (Star 101.5)/Seattle has upped 19-year station vet Curt Kruse to APD. In this newly expanded role, Kruse will assist in the day-to-day programming responsibilities of KPLZ with regard to the creative process, imaging, promotions and more, working closely with KPLZ’s newly named PD Lisa Adams, who remarked, “Curt is such an amazing talent with creative skills that run deep. I’m so excited to be working with him implementing the evolution of Star 101.5!”

Mike Abrams, Lotus Corporate Regional Director of Programming said, “Curt has been a vital part of KPLZ for many years. We are so happy he will now handle the Assistant Program Director duties as we move KPLZ into the next chapter.”

Kruse has been with KPLZ since 2002, hosting afternoon drive until 2018 before moving mornings through 2021. Kruse previously did afternoons at WDVD/Detroit from 1996-2001, and before that, he had on-air stints at WKRQ/Cincinnati, WGTZ/Dayton and WVKS/Toledo.

Commenting on his new APD duties, CKruse said, “Thanks to Jim Kalmenson, Mike Abrams, Lisa Adams and [GM] Gary Greenberg for this awesome opportunity. I can’t emphasize enough how much I appreciate the chance to contribute to the future success of KPLZ. And please have your pets spayed or neutered.”
