Large Upgrade For McConnell Adams
• Townsquare Media Lansing, MI announced that McConnell Adams, Brand Manager of Top 40 WJIM (97.5 Now) and AC 99.1 WFMK, has been promoted to Director of Content (Operations Manager) for the local media cluster, effective immediately. He replaces Chris Tyler, who exits. In his newly expanded role, Adams, who has been with Townsquare since 2017, will now annex operational oversight for all the cluster’s brands, which also include Country 100.7 WITL, Classic Rock 94.9 WMMQ, Sports-Talk WVFN (730 The Game), and “Lansing’s BIG Talker,” WJIM-AM 1240.
Adams, the on-air artist long known as “Man @ Large,” commented, “I am truly blessed for the opportunities I have been presented by this amazing company. Prior to joining Townsquare in 2017 Adams spent a decade in scenic Alaska, most notably programming Ohana Rhythmic KFAT/Anchorage and doing afternoons on iHeartMedia Top 40 rival KGOT. He later moved to frosty Fairbanks as PD of KWLF (K-Wolf 98.1) and did a stint as Operations Coordinator for Coastal Television, the local ABC, Fox and CW affiliate.
