Larrimore On The Loose, Trimmer On The Move

RAMP has confirmed that Neil Larrimore has exited as iHeartMedia Arizona Region Director of Spoken Word Programming. Larrimore arrived in Phoenix in January 2012 and had been programming News-Talk KFYI-AM, News-Talk KOY-A (KFYI 2) and Sports-Talk KGME-AM (Fox Sports 910). He had also served on the strategy team for News-Talk duo KNST-AM and KTZR-AM/Tucson.

Larrimore (left) previously spent seven years as PD of Entercom Talk duo KMBZ-AM & FM/Kansas City. Earlier in his career Larrimore was APD of WHIO-AM/Dayton, OH and he spent some quality time in Philadelphia at Beasley’s WWDB and Salem’s WFIL and WZZD. Larrimore is now seeking his next opportunity and can be reached at Nlarrimore2@gmail.com.

• Stand by for the official announcement, but RAMP has already confirmed that Larrimore is being replaced in Phoenix by Aaron Trimmer (left), who will transfer from his current post as Director of Spoken Word Programming for iHeartMedia Richmond, VA. In a staff memo, iHeartMedia Richmond SVP of Programming Zac Davis said, “Aaron is one of the top tier programmers in News/Talk in the country so I’m not surprised to see him elevated to a major market like Phoenix. Over the past 3+ years, Aaron has made significant strides with our Spoken Word Stations and WVNN. We will miss him and despite him moving to Arizona in July, we hope he’ll come back to cool off. His last day is tentatively scheduled for June 26th. Plans are being set to search for his replacement.”

Trimmer has been in Richmond since August 2014. His previous programming department stops include WHAM-AM & WHTK-AM/Rochester, NY, WSYR-AM/Syracuse, NY, WERC/Birmingham, WLAP/Lexington and WGST/Atlanta.
