Lavoie To Head On-Demand Audio At NHPR

• New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) has promoted Rebecca Lavoie to the position of Director of On-Demand Audio. Lavoie joined NHPR in 2010 to produce the daily magazine program Word of Mouth, and most recently served as NHPR’s Director of Audience & Engagement.

The announcement of Lavoie’s upgrade was made by NHPR President & CEO Jim Schachter, who said, “Rebecca has nurtured an explosion of excellent journalism and inspired creativity throughout NHPR. Her keen editorial ear is evident in all the material produced under her leadership. Her deep roots in the community and knowledge of the podcast industry make her an essential contributor to our senior management team.”

Outside of NHPR, Lavoie is the creator and host of the popular podcast Crime Writers On… that reviews other podcasts, television, and true crime-adjacent media. She also hosts the Netflix podcast You Can’t Make This Up. Lavoie is a frequent speaker at conferences and events focusing on podcast strategy, industry trends, monetization, and audio journalism, and is the co-author of four mass market true crime titles.
