Lisa Adams Named PD of KVRQ/Seattle
• Hubbard Radio Seattle has acquired the services of longtime Northwest programmer Lisa Adams as the new Program Director of its recently launched Country outlet, KVRQ (Country 98.9). Apparently it was deceptively easy for Hubbard to locate and secure Ms. Adams for this prime position — since August 2016 she’s been right down the hall as the Marketing Director of AC sister WRWM (Warm 106.9).
For Adams (left), this promotion also means a welcome return to 98.9 — she was PD of the former KLCK (Click 98.9)/Seattle until March of 2016, shortly before it flipped to KVRQ (Rock 98-9). Rock 98-9 then flipped to Country in December. Adams’ previous programming stops include KVMX and KXJM/Portland, OR and KQMV (MOViN 92.5)/Seattle under Sandusky. She also spent time with Townsquare Media in Boise, ID.
Marc Kaye, Market Manager for Hubbard Radio Seattle, said, “To be able to hire from within a great company like Hubbard Radio for such an important programming role, is just a dream come true. Lisa and I have only known each other for 14 years, so we’ll spend some time getting acquainted.” Adams remarked, “Country 98.9 is an extremely special radio station for Seattle. To be given this opportunity is beyond my wildest dreams. I’m blessed and appreciative for the support and recognition. Thank you to Marc Kaye, Greg Strassell, Ron Harrell, Drew Horowitz, Dave Bestler and Ginny Morris for this amazing opportunity. Time to roll up our sleeves and get to work!” Adams can be reached at 425-653-1164 or lisaadams@hubbardradio.com.
