Louth Named APD of The Sports Hub

• Beasley Media Group Boston announced that Jim Louth has been promoted to Assistant Program Director of WBZ-FM (98.5 The Sports Hub). Louth has been with the station since its launch in 2009, and has served as Executive Producer of the midday show, spending the past four years with the Zolak and Bertrand Show. Louth has also produced New England Patriots’ broadcasts for 16 seasons and previously spent six years producing various shows at Cumulus Media’s WSKO-AM (790 The Score)/Providence and two years at ESPN in Bristol, CT.

Louth succeeds Rick Radzik, who was recently upped to PD when original Sports Hub PD Mike Thomas left to become Market Manager of Good Karma’s WMVP (ESPN 1000)/Chicago. “Jim has been with the station since day one,” said Radzik. “He’s done a great job, not only producing our midday programming, but also overseeing our New England Patriots game day broadcasts over the past decade. His institutional knowledge of the Sports Hub’s operation and relationships with the staff, make Jim the perfect choice for the APD position.”

Louth remarked, “In 2009, I was grateful that 98.5 The Sports Hub took a chance and gave me an opportunity to help launch a new Sports radio station in Boston. More than 10 years later, I’m honored to be in a position to take the next step in my career and continue to help provide great content for the best sports fans in the world and work with the most talented individuals in the industry.”
