Lucas On The Loose

• RAMP has confirmed that Twin Cities radio pro Lucas Phelan has exited as PD of Entercom Country KMNB (102.9 The Wolf)/Minneapolis. No replacement has been named. With his usual wry sense of humor, Phelan broke the news of his termination on Facebook, marking himself “Not safe from being fired today.”

Phelan joined KMNB to do afternoons in October 2016 and was promoted from APD to the PD chair in May 2018. Prior to that, Phelan famously spent 11 years across the street at iHeartMedia Top 40 KDWB, rising to APD/MD/afternoons and PD of Classic Hip Hop Hot 102.5 (KQQL HD-3).

Phelan began his radio career in 1998 at KQKQ (Sweet 98)/Omaha, followed by a stint at KMXV (Mix 93.3)/Kansas City, prior to joining KDWB in 2005. Lucas is now exploring his options and can be reached at 612-500-1517 or lucasphelan@icloud.com.
