Mark Simone Extended At 710 WOR/New York
• iHeartMedia’s 710 WOR/New York announced a new long-term agreement with legendary radio personality Mark Simone.
As part of this extension, The Mark Simone Show will expand from two hours to three hours, now airing weekdays from 9am-noon, following Curtis Sliwa and Larry Mendte in the Morning.
Simone has been a recognizable radio presence in New York for more than 40 years, and has been cornerstone of the WOR lineup for nearly 14 years, consistently delivering one of New York’s highest-rated talk shows and attracting a loyal and growing audience.
“Mark Simone is one of the most talented and respected broadcasters in America,” said Tom Cuddy, Program Director of 710 WOR. “His ability to inform, entertain and connect with listeners is unmatched. Expanding his show by an additional hour is a win for our audience, our advertisers and the station.”
“I’m not exactly an early riser, so this will take a little getting used to,” said Simone. “But the demand for this was overwhelming, from the audience and the advertisers. The first rule of mass media is to give the people what they want, so I’m honored and happy to do it.”
