Marshall Mile-High Over New Gig
Congrats to Steve Marshall, PD of Cumulus Rhythmic KVYB (103.3 The Vibe)/Oxnard-Ventura, CA, who is packing for a move to Denver as the new PD of KSE Radio Ventures Hot AC KIMN (Mix 100). His last day with Cumulus is tomorrow. Marshall has been at KVYB since October of 2013, when he transferred west from middays/imaging at sister WDVD/Detroit. Earlier in his career Marshall spent 10 years programming Cumulus duo WWWM & WTWR/Toledo, OH. Other stops include WCZY/Mt. Pleasant, MI and the former WDFX (The Fox)/Detroit.
RAMP yesterday caught up Marshall, who told us, “After a great run in Oxnard-Ventura and Santa Barbara, it’s exciting to be trading my surfboard for a snowboard. Cumulus has been fantastic — everyone from Mike McVay to my local managers — EVP Sommer Frisk and OM Chris Cox are great and I wish them all the best. I’m absolutely stoked to be jumping in to a heritage station with a great staff and doing what I can to make our mark in Denver.”
At KIMN, Marshall will succeed Bo Jaxon, who will now focus his full attention on his other fulltime gig, PD and morning show host on Country sister KWOF (92.5 The Wolf).
