Mason Named PD of Nashville’s Zone

Paul Mason has been named Program Director of Cumulus Sports-Talk WGFX (104.5 The Zone)/Nashville, effective May 1. Mason arrives from sunny West Palm Beach, FL, where he most recently programmed Hubbard News-Talk 850 WFTL and WMEN (Fox Sports 640). Prior to that, he was APD of iHeartMedia’s 700 WLW/Cincinnati for six years.

In making the announcement, Allison Warren, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Nashville, said, “We are thrilled to announce Paul Mason as the next Program Director for 104-5 The Zone. Paul is an experienced programmer who brings a passion for sports and a fresh perspective to sports entertainment. We’re confident that he’ll lead WGFX to new heights.”

Mason commented, “It’s an honor to join 104.5 The Zone, the home of the Tennessee Titans and UT Vols. I want to thank Allison Warren, Charlie Cook, and the entire Cumulus Nashville family for this amazing opportunity. WGFX is doing a lot of great things, and I’m excited to work with the entire team to help take 104.5 The Zone to new heights.”

The Zone PD post has been open since January, when previous PD Brad Willis accepted a position as Chief Advancement and Operations Officer for the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
