Matty Jeff: Sheriff Of Townsquare Country
• Congrats to Matty Jeff, Director of Content for Townsquare’s Albany, NY group and Brand Manager of Country WGNA (107.7 GNA), who has been awarded the corporate responsibilities of Director Country Content & Programming for the company’s 74 Country stations. He will retain his current duties.
Jeff succeeds Doug Montgomery, who retired on July 31, wrapping up a distinguished three-decade Country radio career, the past eight years with Townsquare.
A 23-year Country radio pro, Jeff was named Brand Manager of WGNA in Nov. 2015, transitioning from Saga’s Portland Radio Group, where he programmed Country/Classic Hits duo WPOR and WYNZ (Rewind 100.9). He was promoted to Director of Content for the group five years ago. The New Jersey-raised Jeff spent the first five years of his career with iHeartMedia Classic Rock WNNJ serving Sussex County, NJ.
