Max Upped To PD of The Fox/Appleton-Oshkosh
• On the heels of Brian Davis‘ arrival as the new Operations Manager of Cumulus Media’s Appleton-Oshkosh cluster, RAMP has learned that Alternative WWWX (96.9 The Fox) MD/afternoon personality Max has been elevated to the PD chair. Both gentlemen are replacements for OM/PD Dayton Kane, who is relocating back home to Milwaukee at the end of the month.
Max is certainly well entrenched in the market — and the Cumulus building — having originally worked there from 2002-2009. After programming former Cumulus Triple A/ALT hybrid WKRU/Green Bay from 2011-2016, followed by a stint as OM of Case Communications’ Triple A WLGE (The Lodge) and Classic Hits WQDC (Rewind 97.7)/Sturgeon Bay, WI, Max returned to The Fox in 2018 and was upped to MD.
RAMP caught up with Max, who said, “It’s exciting to work with the minds of Troy Hanson and James Kurdziel again in creating a growing Alternative station. I’m also looking forward to joining up locally with our new OM Brian Davis in making The Fox active in this community.
